Fall wedding

Yesterday I attended my cousins wedding out in my hometown. It was at 9:30 in the morning followed by a brunch afterwards and I must say it was absolutely beautiful! Since the weather decided to take a turn back to summer temperatures I made sure to wear something light and airy as I knew everything would be outside.

This dress (similar but diff color/print) was actually bought for my graduation from grad school and I hadn’t worn it since so I thought it was time to pull it back out. The only thing I didn’t like about it was I wish it was a little more fitted. However, I really like the high neckline so I could wear this statement necklace (similar)I love but never get to wear!

I considered wearing flats because the wedding was outside but my heels (similar style) worked out okay because the heel is chunkier so I didn’t sink into the ground!

The rest of my day was spent watching football and celebrating my friends dirty 30!

How cute is my friend kenny with her balloons!

Alright, until next time💕

Rainbow bright

Rainbow pastels seem to be the thing this fall. I’ve been dying to share this one with ya. This lil diddy right here was an impulse buy but I think it was 100% worth it. I also want to get the cardigan version I’ve seen going around in several boutiques. This sweater is actually a crop top 🙂 Now bc it’s a crop top and I’m like not actually Brittany spears and have perfect abs I’m wearing it with some high rise jeans. I’m totally down for this trend too.

Can’t you tell? So many heart eyes. 😝😍

While I think this outfit would look cute with white converse or tennis shoes, I thought it was time to break out the white ankle boots. 🙂

I’m so here for these boots. You’ll be seeing these a lot more. 😘

So, like, let’s travel?

Haven’t posted in a hot min. I planned to create new content this weekend. But I spent the majority of my Saturday planning my outfits for my next weekend for a lil festie and then Sunday I had brunch with a good friend & dragged my boo to the pool. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking & as I get older I’m looking to gain more out of my life. Namely I want to gain more experiences & less material stuff. Because of this I decided this week I would travel more and I already had two upcoming opportunities to do this but I just couldn’t bring myself to commit. But today that changed! So, I’m planning a trip to Pittsburgh over my Thanksgiving break and *super importantly* FINALLY going to red rocks in Colorado at the end of September! I couldn’t be more excited! Gonna get a lil funky with my buddies at a Big Gigantic show then I’m going to meet my boyfriend’s extended family at Thanksgiving!

Anyway, I want to challenge you to take a hard look at your life? Are you living it for you? Or (as me and my friend Lindsay discussed today) are you being a “sheeple” just doing what “expected” of you? It’s really nice to know I’m not the only one going through an interesting time in my life reevaluating what I truly want from it. If you would like a lil pep talk you can come to the church of holly & Lindsay and we will give u a lil sermon on non conformity and living the life YOU want. Not what others want or expect.

Just some food for thought.

4th of July

Ok! Blog post coming in late! However, I couldn’t go on without sharing my Fourth of July outfit! It was perfect for watching fireworks in the heat, and continuing to look cute while doing that. I whole heartedly endorse this denim overalls dress. Works as a swimsuit cover up or not. Since it is denim, that has less give so I bought this in a large. It’s not as fitted in the waist like id like it to be but it’s still very comfortable. Under the top I wore a black Bralette. I am a huge supporter of those for summer heat in Arkansas.

My shoes were an impulse buy and not only are they glittery/sparkly and just scream me, they are SO comfortable!

Happy belated birthday America!
